Kanye West hit the stage at day 2 of the 17th Annual Essence Music Festival in New Orleans (July 2). Kanye was the headline act for day 2 and put on another epic show similar to several of his other recent festival performances. West opened the show with his anthem-like single 'POWER' before 40,000 concert goer's. He closed his set with an emotional performance of 'Hey Mama'.
Kanye is gearing up for the release of the long-awaited album Watch The Throne, a collaborative album with Jay-Z. A new single for the album is due out in just a couple weeks according to Ryan Seacrest. A possible joint tour is also rumored to follow.
