News Fix - Trey Songz To Make Film Debut

R&B sex-symbol Trey Songz is about to spread his creative wings by stepping away from music to do some acting. The 'Bottoms Up' singer will co-star in the upcoming movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Songz will have a lead role in the Lionsgate’s 3D horror flick, the latest film based on Tobe Hooper’s 1974 film about several teens who are captured by a family of cannibals in Texas.

In the film that will hit theaters on Oct. 5 2012,  Songz will play the boyfriend of actress Alexandra Daddario and he'll show off his physical, romantic, and heroic sides in the movie. The film will be directed by John Luessenhop (Takers) and shooting begins later this month in Shreveport, Louisiana. But music fans don't worry, Songz is also working on new music and is slated to release a new album later this year.
