After spending some time as a major flop, Monica returned to the R&B scene last year stronger than ever with her #1 album Still Standing. That album featured the #1 hit 'Everything To Me' and 'Love All Over Me' (which just missed #1, peaking at #2 on the R&B Charts).
Monica now reveals her new album is titled New Life and will be released on October 4th. A lead single for the album is expected to hit radio and iTunes within 2 weeks. The new album features production by Missy Elliott and Polow Da Don among others.
Once again, she will be sharing her life experiences on the album. “I talk about a lot of different subjects, whether it’s love, heartache, happiness, family,” she added. “The music will be a lot like Still Standing in the sense that it’s real and really about things that I’ve experienced, but it also from a very mature place. The greatest thing that happened to me is to learn forgiveness and acceptance.”
