After a two year break, R&B singer Mario is back with a brand new single from his 5th upcoming album. The song is titled 'My Bed' and is produced by Chris “Deep” Henderson and Tony “Chef Tone” Scales. I like the direction Mario is taking with this song, its a bit more commercial and less urban than previous singles he's released. But by no means has he gone the Usher route and made a song that's completely pop. It's still urban, just pop friendly, along the lines of 'Sah Aah' by Trey Songz.
As far as lyrics go, this song is pretty cliched and contrived. And If you couldn't guess from the title, its about sex...or getting a girl home to have sex. But with it's southern dance beat and Mario's slick delivery, the sex cliche's aren't so bad. Listen below.
