F@ck Elton John!!!!!
Two of the biggest Queens in the music industry are in a beef over Elton John's unflattering remarks about Simon Cowell's reality shows X-Factor and American Idol. Elton turned down the multiple opportunity's to guest on both shows publicly calling them 'boring', 'brain crippling' and that the show 'exploits the contestants'. Simon blasted back at Elton saying the following:
"Well, look. This is somebody who charges what, a million dollars a private gig? Two million dollars, you know? I don't know whether he's concerned about himself - maybe he is. They always bleat on that we're not giving other people a chance. And I always want to say to them, 'I tell you what, you just made a million dollars off your last private gig. Go and give it to a bunch of young musicians you care about, put them in the studio. Go and nurture them. Go and spend some time looking after them. Then I'll buy your argument"
I have to agree with Simon here. If Elton does not like the shows, fine. If he thinks they are boring, fine. But don't accuse them of exploiting contestants who are given a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Elton John is being dick if you ask me
In related news TMZ got a hold of footage of Elton John calling a reporter a C*NT (Rhymes with BUNT) for no apparent reason. It seems Simon and reality singing shows aren't the only thing that gets Elton in a bitch-fit. Watch the video HERE
